Decolonizing Identity: A Youth Conversation

7 pm -9pm

Does DNA create identity?
What does it mean to acknowledge your multi-racial identities?
How do we decolonize ourselves?
How does decolonizing impact your relationships with your communities and the world?

Local Youth from LSNA present a fun, deep discussion on their personal experiences in decolonization in this unique talk lead BY and FOR neighborhood teens.

Decolonizing is the intricate process of getting free as individuals and as a people. It's the rewriting of history from the point of view of los de abajo. It's the reimaging of the future by those who ache for justice and healing.  LSNA’s youth organizing work is founded on the values of racial justice. Youth are vital leaders in the push for both policy and cultural responses to the violence of displacement.  Youth leaders will share their unique perspectives and invite you to question your own.
